The space-saving AQUOS LC-20B1U is less than three inches deep yet produces a vivid 20-inch image using Sharp's proprietary Advanced Super View LCD panel. The 4:3 aspect-ratio screen provides a higher contrast ratio and wider viewing angles than conventional LCD screens, while its black TFT anti-glare coating makes it bright enough to view its brilliant colors with ease, even in well-lit rooms. The LC-20B1U even features a dedicated Type II PCMCIA card slot, making it easy to view digital pictures from a removable storage card, transforming the television into a high-tech digital picture frame. An electronic PLL tuner handles over-air reception of TV programming. Component-, composite-, and S-video inputs accommodate everything from DVD players to VCRs, camcorders, and gaming consoles, while a built-in 181-channel tuner lets you plug a cable TV line right into the TV and start watching. For audio, a pair of two-way, three-driver speakers are powered by 2.1 watts each and provide clear mid and high frequencies, so you can enjoy live concert DVDs and other programs to the fullest. A left/right pair of analog audio outputs makes it possible to hook the monitor up to a receiver or integrated amplifier. The LC-20B1U is easy to position and reposition. An included carry handle/table stand facilitates moving it easily from room to room, and the one-piece stand detaches for wall mounting. With the LC-20B1U's NTSC, PAL, and SECAM compatibility, you can watch video sources from the U.S., Western Europe, and Eastern Europe, and all will appear properly formatted. The screen offers 480 x 640 (VGA) resolution.

I got one of these at circuit city when they first came out. We paid over 800 dollars for it after about 10 months the picture started having issues with darker shades in the screen. So we went back to circuit city to show them we are having this problem. They had the set for about a week. They didnt call us to come and get it. Finally we went back. They said they had been watching it for a while and could not see what we were talking about. We still have the set and it gotten alot worse. Im just waiting for it to quit. That day we returned it they had them there for less the 400 dollars. I have never bought anything else there since,

By far the best picture quality I have seen on an LCD TV of this type. It costs a little more but it is well worth the price. Keep an eye out at local retailers for discounted or open box items since many people do not realize that this is not a widescreen or HD quality TV and return it.

REcently acquired the Aquos 20" LCD Tv from a retailer in New York City (harvey electronics), when I found it a small discount. It's an excellent LCD TV that can also double as a PC monitor. The contrast and brightness are just great to boot and the surround sound is fabulous. I place it on my desk next to my PC so I can watch CNBC and also play DVD movies while I pretend to be working. :) This is a great product. It's expensive but if you have the money, get one.
