Amazon.com Product Description Nicely compact and attractively styled in a silvery gray cabinet, the 13-inch Toshiba 13A26 CRT television will fit easily into any room in your home--from kitchen to kids' room. It features a handy A/V input on the front of the set for quick connection of VCR, DVD player, game console, or video camcorder. It also offers V-Chip parental controls, enabling password protection to block shows based on the TV rating system. The GameTimer feature also allows parents to set the TV to shut off after a specified period of game playing, and it will stay off until a lockout key code is entered. Other features include a 181-channel NTSC tuner, standard display 4:3 aspect ratio, 1-watt mono speaker, 3.5mm headphone jack for private listening, tri-lingual onscreen menus (English, French, Spanish), glow-key remote control, and a sleep timer that can delay shut-down for up to three hours (in 10-minute intervals). All CRT television picture tubes have a shadow mask behind the glass that helps create the picture. This set incorporates Toshiba's Blackstripe II tubes, which utilizes a special compound in the shadow mask to absorb unnecessary light emissions. And to reduce reflection, tinting is built into the glassÑnot sprayed on as it is by some manufacturersÑwhen the cathode ray tube is being created. Together, these improvements provide increased contrast and an 18 percent increase in brightness over standard tubes. Here's the full round-up of video and audio connections: - Composite A/V: 1 input (mono, front)
- RF: 1 input (rear)
- Headphone: 1 (front)

Toshiba 13A26 13" CRT TV September 5, 2008 Elizabeth B. (Corvallis, Oregon) The tv works great. Delivery was very slow and the box was dented causing the postman to comment that he hoped it wasn't actually a tv inside. Perhaps the US mail isn't the best method of shipping.
Excellent choice June 26, 2007 Ellen (Upstate NY) The Toshiba 13A26 is a star in the ever-shrinking availability of small TV sets. It is a perfect choice for anyone who seeks economy in price and size. The picture is sharp and clear, and color is excellent.

Nice picture, but poor sound. April 10, 2007 Photo nut (NY) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
A good little TV for a small bedroom, but the sound is uneven and tinny.
For the price a great little TV August 30, 2006 Fueshia 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
This TV has a incredible picture, my only complaint is that the sound is not that loud. I put it in my bedroom and while the AC is running it is very hard to hear, and the AC isn't real loud, it's brand new. I got around this problem as I have Satellite TV and I just ran the sound from the box to my stereo, the only fall back to this solution is that you have to keep swithching the connections between the Satellite box, the VCR and the DVD, depending which one is being watched at the time. So if you are planning to put this anywhere there may be additional noise I wouldn't recommend it unless you have another source to boost the sound.
