Product Description 2/8/200615-19-32...
Amazon.com Product Description Sony's KV-20FS120 20-inch WEGA TV may be the smallest display you'll ever consider using as a home-theater component. Its FD Trinitron tube delivers strong image accuracy, wide viewing angles, outstanding contrast, and impressive corner-to-corner detail. The visually flat FD Trinitron tube minimizes annoying glare from light sources, which enhances contrast. Corner-to-corner details are rendered more accurately because images aren't distorted by a curved screen. Squares look square, straight lines appear straight, and circles are circular. Velocity modulation (selectable: off, high, low) improves the definition at picture edges, creating sharper images by slowing the CRT (cathode-ray tube) beam's horizontal scanning during demanding work--say, when rendering transitions from light to dark parts of an image--and speeding it up when scanning easily rendered sections, like broad dark areas. The set's digital comb filter further enhances resolution by removing blurred edges between colors and reducing dot crawl (tiny, moving dots of color along a sharp color separation in a vertical line, as in a depiction of a character's striped T-shirt). Top-of-the-line component-video inputs minimize digital and line-scan artifacts from compatible video sources, while standard composite- and S-video inputs accommodate all DVD players. You can choose between a set of rear AV inputs and a set of front AV inputs for extra convenience when hooking up a camcorder or gaming console. You may also label the set's video inputs and channels for easy selection. The set produces stereo audio with 10 watts per channel. Its Dynamic Picture Processor circuitry maintains image detail in the very bright and dark areas of each scene, while vertical aperture compensation sharpens picture definition and edge detail on the vertical plane). Other features include tilt correction and Trinitone color temperature control. Using Sony's channel-fix feature, you can select a specific TV channel (3, for example) for cable box reception, then subsequently control a compatible cable box via the TV's remote without inadvertently changing the TV from your designated input channel. Favorite channel offers one-button access to the last 8 channels you've tuned (auto) or the last 8 favorites that you've preset (manual). What's in the Box TV, remote control (RM-Y194), remote batteries, a user's manual, and warranty information.

One of the worst TV's I've ever had.... February 11, 2007 bushisnotmypresident (Wilmington, DE United States) 3 out of 6 found this review helpful
Shame on Sony! I had a 10 year old Sony Trinitron (which was great) that broke, so I bought this mess of a TV. Granted, I have basic, analog cable, but come on! There are 4 color choices - Pro, Vivid, Standard and Movie - and one is just as bad as the other. You have to change these and the other Picture settings for each TV program. The face color is either too red or too green. I don't if it's the comb filters or what, but the whites (letters, clothes, whatever) are all out of focus... I was squinting and trying to focus every minute watching Jeopardy. And anything in the background is out of focus. Thank goodness I had 30 days to return it to Circuit City, which I did. Now I'm using my son's old Philips (better picture than the Sony) and I would hang onto it except it is so old, there is no hook-up for VCR or DVD. The only 2 good things about the Sony are it looks nice and the sound is good. Put your money elsewhere, not here. It stinks!
Outstanding SONY 20Inch TV October 10, 2006 hille2000 (USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
The Sony KV-20FS120 20" FD Trinitron WEGA Flat Screen TV is a great 4:3 aspect ratio CRT set. These will not be around much longer. The picture looks great, but the picture for this type of TV's future looks dim. LCD flat screen sets and Plasma sets are taking over the market. LCD and Plasma sets are priced out of range for the average person so I don't get the overnight transition and logic to force you to buy them. A basic Tube TV with a 4:3 aspect ratio like this Sony 20 inch set is clearly a much better choice.
Wonderful Buy September 2, 2006 H. Nicholas (Battle Mtn, NV USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I purchased this in July after purchasing a 14" flat screen from wal-mart in April that was already having major problems. I received the TV after only 3 days. It was appropriately packaged and arrived with no damage. Very easy to set up and use. LOVE the size and the stereo sound. I recommend this product for anyone.
Great picture, NO AUDIO OUT. need I say more? July 19, 2006 A. Rivkin (Los Angeles, CA) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
Ok, great picture quality, s-video in. The speakers kinda suck, so you would need external speakers to hear movies better, but alas there is no audio out, so no way to connect any external speakers! Wow, that sucks! Get the Samsung instead, similar picture quality and audio out.
I love mine May 18, 2006 D. Garcia (Los Angeles) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Great Pic as noted. Very good sound not great but better than most. Sony remotes are kind of buggy. The remote sensor on the TV is at the very bottom so it can easily be blocked. No S-VIDEO as noted but this is no problem if all you want to do is hook up a DVD player. I have 2 from garage sales each costed less than $20, easy to find at garage sales. If your camera is S-Video you'll be out of luck. Great bedroom TV. Watched Master and Commander on it and it was very nice.
