I bought this set not from Amazon but picked them up in NYC at J&R Music.
This is my first surround system. For 249 + tax - Bing cashback this set is unbeatable. The package is very large (one box of approx 5'*3'*3') of which the sub demands the box'es foot print and the front speakers the height => It does not fit into a sedan. So I unpacked the box right at loading. Four speakers look identical, the two front speakers are on posts, the center is about 20 inch wide. The sub is quite big (according to wife). The craftsmanship looks decent although you can feel that there is not much value in all speakers except the sub which probably makes about 75-80% of the price itself. I have most likely no set it up perfectly due to room and wiring concerns but it provides as much fun as I had expected. At first I noticed that with the Onkyo Receiver (80 Watts per channel) they are not extremely loud but that might just be the audio level coming out of the TiVo. The subwoofer seems very decent. There is no doubt that there will be much better sounding systems around for quite more money but I do not regret this 7.1 at this price.

Too bad that I had to buy this from an external vendor due to Amazon not displaying the true prize of these speakers on the product page and has it in the cart. I have these speakers as a mix and match for my panasonic vsx 1020-k 3-D compatible receiver, and once I had my Satellite Rears done wireless with RocketFish's rear wireless kit - I had my living room Rocking. This is a 7.1 which came in a huge packing which was almost 5' tall, and the Output with the auto calibration was a joy to hear. The tall boy(s) in the front looks and sounds great, and the photos do not justify the Top gloss finish for these
and as well as the Sub. So be wary of fingerprints. A must buy which should cost several hundred more for its value.

The quality and sound of these speakers is fantastic for this price range. ive been watching the price of these for over a year. the speakers look great, but they are pretty large for anybody who wants smaller speakers. the two front speakers are great since no stands are needed. the only gripe i have is that the input for the speaker wire is too small for banana adapters. 14 gauge wires take a few twists to fit into. paired with the onkyo sr608, you'll have an amazing surround sound experience for less than $1000.

These speakers are great. Replaced old set of Bose. These are everybit as good, and you dont pay for just a name. GReat sound! Very easy to hook up. Glad we got them.

I contact Onkyo support asking what is the best match 7.1 home theater system for the receiver I had. The guy give me this set of speakers. All I can say is, "I deeply appreciate it". Especially, when listen to the dts hd master.
