Product Description
In the great tradition of Popular Mechanics, here are makeovers you can actually use, afford, and do yourself. Unlike some books on remodeling the bathroom, this real-world guide steers clear of wildly expensive options that demand a costly contractor to implement. Instead, eye-catching, sensible suggestions explain how to get rid of the dingy old vanity, redo that terrible lighting, and lose the stained, worn linoleum. Get down to the nitty-gritty with instructions for replacing cabinets, laying down sheet flooring, relaminating or tiling countertops and backsplashes, and putting in a new sink or faucet. Follow one of three marvelous bathroom transformations, or creatively mix elements from them all. From choosing color schemes to budgeting time, every valuable page shows how to upgrade a bathroom.

Save you time and money. You can find more info on the internet for free. This book does not have anything to teach you. Save a tree let this book die.
Good Basic Bathroom Makeover Info and Projects June 30, 2006 Sonya (Dallas, TX) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a well-written book that clearly explains what's involved in a bathroom makeover and what constitutes an economy, mid-range and high-end makeover. There are projects for bathroom redo's including installing ceramic tile and other flooring; removing and installing a vanity and pedestal sinks; installing tub surrounds, lighting, vent fans and countertops; building a glass block wall and window and more. The projects are well illustrated and the explanations are clear and easy-to-follow. Not only does the book contain clear pictures and good projects, but it also includes information about each element in the bathroom. For example, on page 29, the page is devoted to sink materials and discusses the pros and cons of all kinds of sinks even cast iron and glass. Reading the book and looking at the photo steps makes the bathroom makeover projects seem possible as a Do-It-Yourselfer. Great book, well written and photographed. Definitely recommended.
