I returned this item. I could not get TV reception anywhere. I called Mustek customer service. They suggested I sit near a window or plug it into cable. I told them if it did not work where I want and when I wanted, the unit was usless to me.
Dvd playback was adequate.
Overall vay disappointing. Do not waste your time and money on Mustek products.

My personal observations.
1. TV reception is very poor. I also live in a major metro area.
2. The picture quality is the worst I've seen. Very difficult to see in normal outdoor lighting.
3. Speaker volume is very low. Need Headphones.
4. DVD player is equal to lower priced portables.
5. Remote Control poorly made.
6. No carry case.
This product is NOT worth the $249.00 price. My advice is to find something that doesn't have so many problems.

The feature list is great but in reality:
1) I am in a major metropolitan area but the TV Tuner gets barely one channel.
2) The DVD player doesn't work unless you are squeezing the unit with your hands to keep the heads aligned.
3) The power button is falling off.
It came like this new and right out of the box. It went back an hour after received it.

I've had this unit for about a week and it serves my purpose. I needed a small tv/dvd that would fit into a small space, work well and be portable enough to take with me on weekends. This fits the bill. The tv picture is fine if angled properly and dvd playback is good. I wish the volume control was a bit better but it is adequate. Overall my complaints are minor and I recommend this unti if you need or want this kind of portability.
