Product Description Take Classic is a no-compromise collection of high-tech components - satellites, subwoofer and center channel - with all the best stuff packed inside great looking high-gloss black cabinets. Take Classic proves that convenience doesn't have to mean compromise. You won't get better performance, or better looks. Energy Systems picked the best technologies, so Take Classic can fill your room with hair-rising effects and theater-like sound: hyperbolic aluminum dome tweeters for screaming highs, Convergent Source Modules for clear, crisp dialog and music and a Ribbed Elliptical Surround on the subwoofer that makes every explosion a room shaking affair.

Great System, Korean Producers Less Expensive September 4, 2010 Brian W (Gresham, Oregon) 0 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is a quality system, but you can get similiar quality and much less expensive pricing by acquiring Korean products such as those made by LG. The LG LFD790 Home theater system can be had used for as little as $150! LG LFD790 - Home theater system - glossy black
Nice affordable set of speakers August 16, 2010 Anand V. Sampath 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Great set of speakers. Sound good and look great. Only drawback as I seen it is that you cannot get extra sattelite speakers for making a 7.1 or 9.1 channel system. Also, speakers have a single mounting point on the back rather than two which makes it a little tricky to mount properly on my Sanus HTB-3 floor stands, although that is as much a problem with the latter as the former.
Affordable brilliant sound August 11, 2010 dreamz725 I was a little hesitant about buying a surround sound at first, but was totally worth it. Music that I've listened to in the past sounds like new now. I can pick up on every individual instrument now as through listening through a stereo.
Couldn't be Happier August 5, 2010 B. Cary (New York, NY) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
These speakers are the real deal. For anyone looking for an all-in-one solution to their home theater needs at great value - look no further. I went with the Energy Take 5 after reading hords of positive reviews and here I am writing one of my own. The bass is thunderous and responsive, the satellite speakers are sharp and clear, and the center channel is a beast that does all of the aforementioned. Lastly, they look subtle and classic just as their name indicates. Their neutral, understated appearance will integrate nicely into any living room, and their movie-theater like sound will compliment any multimedia experience. 5 stars and 2 thumbs up.
Fantastic Bang for the Buck! August 1, 2010 pladage 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I wouldn't consider myself a true audiophile, but I am musically trained and I have a very good ear. Obviously I wanted a good sounding system, but unfortunately I am a college student with a very limited budget. That being the case, I did a lot of research before buying a new system to try to get the most I could for the money. I had previously never heard of the energy brand before I came across the Take 5 package. I read at least a half dozen professional reviews and probably three dozen user reviews and heard nothing but good things. With this system being ideal for small rooms (such as my 12x10 room at home or a college dorm room) I decided these were the way to go. I was not disappointed. The build quality from such a small and inexpensive system is impressive. The piano black looks very sharp (provided you remember to dust your speakers regularly) and their small size makes for easy placement. They open up a little more with some breathing room but still hold up when wall mounted. These little babies pack a lot of wallop in a small room with a mid-level receiver, I had to turn them way down the first time I used them. Right out of the box they sound pretty good. The highs, especially with musical instruments, are a bit harsh at first but the smooth out as the speakers break in and become quite phenominal for the price. The midrange is very solid, but things get weak as you hit the lower end of the spectrum. Being 3.5 inch woofers, you really cannot be surprised. Luckily, the system has a matching subwoofer included. Getting the crossover to sound right was a bit wonky. It was difficult to get it to blend with the speakers, but that might be largely attributed to the poor acoustics of my listening room. However, once the fine tuning was finished the sub really impressed. The sound is very clean and accurate, and while it won't blow you out of the water, the quality of the sound itself is phenominal and the lows sound exactly as they should. Very rarely did the sub bottom out and it was only at higher volumes. Overall, I cannot say enough about the Energy Take 5 system. I have had it for a month now and absolutely love it. It has phenominal build quality (try the knuckle rap test, these things are built like rocks) a good amount of fit and finish (they look great with the grills on or off) and a surprising amount of sound quality and power from such tiny speakers. If you have very limited space and/or a very limited budget, do not hessitae to buy these speakers, nothing can touch them at their price range.
