How to install this home theater November 20, 2008 Dileep Koneru (illinoi) I bought this home theater recently. I am not good at electronics. I looked at the speakers and they have a input for a wire. Can someone tell how to connect the other end to my TV ? do we need to connect to any amplifier or something before connecting to TV ? If so, does the amplifier has input for wire of this sort ? thanks in advance.
Awesome speakers!!! August 18, 2008 Richard Brown (Sacramento, CA) I installed these speakers on a used JVC 5.1 500-watt surround sound receiver and I couldn't be happier with the setup. For under $100 I have an awesome sounding surround sound system that takes full advantage of my digital cable's audio and makes my Xbox 360 games sound incredible! I've had 3 other 5.1 surround systems (Lasonic, Panasonic and Frisbee) and I must say that the JVC setup is the best. The sound is crisp and clear, no static, no annoying popping sound from the speakers when the receiver is turned on (like my old systems). The subwoofer is powered, not passive, and also has a volume control on the back. The subwoofer sound...man, no distortion! None, unlike my previous systems. These speakers are the bomb. Pros: Satellite speakers are small, but not that small Speakers have keyhole mounts on the back Extra long speaker wires for all but 1 speaker Very inexpensive for quality sound Cons: Center speaker wire is the only short wire. Probably only 8 feet long, while the rest are 12ft for the front; 30 ft for the rear. Overall, this was an excellent buy! I am extremely happy with these speakers.
Great Sound for the Price July 28, 2008 D. D. Smith (Waynesboro,PA) I was taking in the other reviews of this item and that usually sways me in a purchase. The hook up was very easy for me I guess because I consider myself knowledgeable in electronics. The sound they produce is very good I thought for the price range. I already knew of JVC products since I have a car radio/cd player which is very good. The old saying is you can't please all of the people all of the time. Also cheap ain't always cheap. I've bought inexpensive items and they turned out to out last the expensive items. My review conculdes that these speakers are worth the price if you aren't expecting an outrageous sound.

I purchased this in December and made the mistake of not setting it up immediately. When I discovered the subwoofer was defective (in Feb), it went to the local JVC-approved service center and has been there for the last 4 months. Even for the mere $60 that I paid for it, I am not pleased.
Good value system May 8, 2007 M. West This is a great system for the amount paid. It will get you a basic 5.1 functionality, then can be upgraded piece by piece later.
